Genba: Japanese for “actual place” where the work happens, the job site



Kata: Japanese for “practiced form” or mastered routine

Kaizen: Japanese for “continuous improvement”

Poke yoke: Mistake proofing

Kanban: Japanese for billboard, an ID card system that directs employees to an action.

Crumb trail: a label system to direct employees to back stock of materials.
